Simple Tips for a Stress-free Photography Session
Here are three simple tips to keep your family running stress-free on the day of your photography session. Remember, managing your stress level is paramount! If you are calm, your family will tend to follow suit. We know, that can sound “simple” but not necessarily always “easy.”
Choose Your Outfits Well in Advance
Think about what you want to wear at least a week before your session. Perhaps you will choose your everyday clothes, perhaps something special. Choose the color palate and build your outfits from there. Two nights before, lay out all of your clothes. This will help avoid discovering, last minute, that your clothes are in the laundry, missing or stained.
Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Wait, does “good sleep” happen for anyone, anymore?? Here are our tips for getting sleep:
Don’t eat dinner too far into the evening. Eating late is an ole truck driver’s trick for staying up late!
Stop looking at your screened devices, at least, one to two hours before bed, if possible. We all know that blue light keeps us wired after sunset!
Have a warm bath or just breath and stretch before bed.
Keep your schedule the night before your session simple, so everyone can get to bed on time. If you have a morning session, consider it like a school night!
Morning Session? Get Up a Bit Early!
Morning sessions are great! Remember to set a few alarms and give yourself some extra time. Google map how long it may take to get to the session venue during morning traffic. Consider showering the night before and make sure everyone who wants to eat breakfast, does. Keeping that blood sugar stable makes for bigger smiles;).
