The Benefits of an Un-Posed Newborn Session

There are different types of newborn photography available. You know the kind where there is a baby is in a basket with flowers wearing something super cute and handmade? Well, that’s not our style. We don’t pose newborns. Our sessions are “lifestyle newborn” sessions, and babies are not posed. Read below to see if a lifestyle session is right for you!

Lifestyle Photography is Unposed

During your session with your baby, we spend time photographing everyday events: changing diapers, feeding, snuggling on the couch or bed, and spending time with family. We may guide you to nice light, or a certain position, but we focus our most of our time on your family’s connection, not posing your baby.

Babies are Beautiful in Their Natural State

Babies are beautiful in their natural state. You may not realize it, especially if it’s your first child, but those cute little poses are very fleeting. Your babies are going to stretch out and grow so fast. Capturing the natural poses your baby feels comfortable in is a great way to document your child’s first days.

We Capture their Budding Personalities

Your baby does not need a prop or a cute backdrop for their photos. In fact, photos without props and extras will make for a much more timeless photo that you and your family can enjoy for years to come. Your baby is perfect just the way they are. We document their little developing dispositions not their fashion sense;).
